Uniting Through Music
The Raritan Valley Choral Society is dedicated to fostering a love for choral music. We celebrate music across all levels.
Since 1990, we’ve brought people together through vocal harmony and artistic expression. Our non-auditioned chorus welcomes anyone who loves to sing, and today we’re a joyful community of about 50 members of all ages and backgrounds.
Each December and May, we share a wide range of musical styles in our annual concerts.

Artistic Staff

Music Director and Conductor
Martha Dudich has gratefully been making music for almost all of her life. From piano study begun in early childhood, through every choir in the Metuchen NJ school system, collegiate concentrations in voice, organ and choral conducting, professional adventures in classrooms, churches, retirement communities, summer camps and theater groups, to her collaboration with Raritan Valley Choral Society since 2013. Martha recognizes the deep truth in the 19th century gospel songwriter Robert Lowry's text often included in RVCS programs: No storm can shake my inmost calm, while to that rock I'm clinging. Since love is lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing?

Artistic Collaborator and Accompanist
We welcomed pianist Kathy Shanklin to the RVCS in 2024. Hailing from Illinois, Kathy has held church jobs all of her adult life, in Illinois, Indiana, and New Jersey. She moved to NJ to work on her Masters in Accompanying and Coaching at Westminster Choir College and remained in the Princeton area. She’s worked with many student singers and vocalists over the years and is happy to collaborate with Martha and the RVCS.
